Marketing Experience at
Milestone Financial Planning

Using Semrush, I methodically research and analyze keywords within the financial industry to identify, utilize, and optimize blog posts around terms with strong ranking potential in an ultracompetitive environment.

With Google Analytics, I monitor metrics of top-performing pages and track non-organic traffic sources to assess the success of our marketing strategies.

To help Milestone expand its local visibility, I created Google My Business profiles for two additional office locations, enabling the firm to rank in more geographic regions for local financial searches.

I frequently use Google Search Console to analyze detailed data on all our webpages and blog posts including keyword rankings, traffic, and click-through rates to evaluate performance. These insights help determine if we’re effectively ranking for our target keywords and guide decisions on whether to enhance existing content or develop new content to better capture additional opportunities revealed in the data. In a highly competitive industry like financial services, I avoid targeting overly generic, high-volume keywords. Instead, I use research from both Google Search Console and SEMrush to identify search terms with meaningful volume but lower competition, allowing us to compete more strategically in search rankings.

While at Milestone, I have been responsible for setting up and monitoring three Google Ads campaigns, such as one for our retirement planning services. Although paid search is not yet a dominant strategy at Milestone, these initial campaigns provided valuable data and insights, helping us generate attention and leads while building a foundation for future marketing efforts.

I craft compelling copy, create visuals, and edit content for social media platforms including LinkedIn, Facebook, and YouTube. Particularly well-versed in YouTube, I have played a key role in strengthening the firm’s presence on this platform, helping to boost engagement and reach through unique content.
